"Don" means bowl in Japanese, and donburi is a quintessentially Japanese meal - bowls filled with fluffy steamed rice and topped with all manner of proteins, vegetables, and sauces. This sushi-restaurant take on the donburi features broiled wild salmon, surrounded by sliced avocado and quick-pickled cucumber and finished with drizzles of spicy mayo and savory unagi sauces.

We had been thinking about trying a meal delivery service for a while but never committed. When we heard about Spade & Spoon we decided to try it because it's local! Love the menu variety and the food is amazing. I'm eating a spinach & feta hand pie right now lol. We've ordered a few times and I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you like to cook a bit but don't love grocery shopping. (There are also usually some completely pre-made options that you just bake/heat up if you don't want to cook at all - this divine hand pie is one of them.) Delivery has been seamless too.
