Although bearing little to no resemblance to its Hungarian namesake, and inexplicably called American Chop Suey in parts of New England, American-style goulash is a comforting, simple one-pot meal has been satisfying hungry families for generations, with ground beef, bell peppers, and noodles simmered in a rich tomato sauce and finished with a swirl of sharp cheddar cheese.
