Why We Are Talking About Women's Health
I’m hosting an event on January 8th at 7 PM that’s really close to my heart and I hope you all join us! Tickets sold HERE
You might be wondering why Spade & Spoon, a meal kit company, is talking about women’s health and menopause. The truth is, my whole mission has always been about making life healthier and easier for women. When I started, it was about helping busy moms (like me!) get real, local food on the table with less stress. But over the years, that mission has grown.
Let me explain.
A few years ago, life threw me a curveball. My mid-forties hit, COVID happened, and I got busier than ever. Slowly but surely, I felt my health slipping. I blamed it on burnout—until things got worse. I gained weight, felt constantly anxious, couldn’t think clearly, and was exhausted all the time.I tried everything: walking more, eating better, meditating more… but nothing helped.
When I went to the doctor, I got prescriptions for antidepressants, anti-anxiety meds, and treatments for one issue after another. But deep down, I knew that wasn’t the full answer. I didn’t feel like myself anymore, and I didn’t want to settle for feeling “just okay.”Fast forward to about six months ago—I decided to take control and learn everything I could about menopause. It was eye-opening.What I learned changed my life. And as I started talking to friends, I realized so many women around me were feeling the same way. We just wanted to feel good again.
After months of trial and error (I tried everything—teas, powders, supplements, meal plans—you name it!), I finally cracked the code. My brain fog disappeared, I got my energy back, and I started feeling like me again. That’s why I’m hosting this event.
We’ll be showing a short screening of The M Factor, followed by a panel discussion with women who get it. It’s going to be an evening full of real talk, support, and practical advice to help us all thrive in this stage of life.If you’ve been feeling like you’re not quite yourself lately—or even if you just want to learn more about how to feel your best—I’d love for you to come. Grab a friend or two and join us!
